Novelists have released “Ravage” today, September 3, alongside a new music video directed by Bastien Sablé and based on a concept developed by vocalist Camille Contreras. It is the French melodic metalcore band’s first new song since their 2025 album Coda.
The track pushes further into the contrasts that have shaped Novelists’ recent material, balancing heavy sections with a broader melodic approach. The band said they deliberately kept pushing the song in different directions during the writing process, eventually incorporating a baroque-inspired cello into the arrangement.
“Ravage” also arrives immediately before another major run of shows. Novelists will join Bilmuri and Knuckle Puck on the Kinda Hard Tour across North America, beginning tomorrow.
The tour kicks off September 4 at Hard Rock Live Orlando in Florida, before continuing through a wider run of U.S. and Canadian dates.
