70000 Tons of Metal 2027 announces public sale and half of its lineup

70000 Tons of Metal opens public sales for 2027 with Arch Enemy, Exodus, HammerFall, Moonspell and 26 more bands already confirmed.

70000 Tons of Metal will open public sales for its 2027 edition on Monday, September 7 at 12:00 p.m. EDT / 18:00 CET. The heavy metal cruise will return from January 14-18, 2027, sailing from Miami, Florida to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and back aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas.

Organizers have also confirmed 30 of the 60 bands scheduled to perform. The first half of the lineup includes Arch Enemy, Exodus, HammerFall, Moonspell, Evergrey, Obscura, Primal Fear, Warbringer, Rhapsody and Uli Jon Roth.

The 2027 edition retains the festival’s established format: 60 bands, more than 120 performances and two sets from each artist across four stages during five days and four nights. Attendance is capped at 3,000 guests.

Abigail Williams, Æther Realm, Arch Enemy, Avaland, Battlelore, Brainstorm, Brymir, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Enforcer, Equilibrium, Evergrey, Exmortus, Exodus, Famous Strangers, HammerFall, Melechesh, Moonspell, Mors Principium Est, Naglfar, Obscura, Origin, Primal Fear, Rhapsody, Sinister, Talia Hoit, Thulcandra, Uli Jon Roth, Warbringer, Wolfheart and Ye Banished Privateers.

The remaining 30 bands will be announced later. New attendees will be able to book once public sales begin, following the early booking period offered to returning passengers.
