Ice Nine Kills have found a way to carry their horror obsession into December. The band will release A Very Vicious Christmas on November 9, an eight-track EP that gives traditional Christmas songs the group’s familiar combination of metal, black humour and cinematic bloodshed.
The music was originally recorded for Terror Tram Starring Art The Clown, part of Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood. After serving as the soundtrack to the Terrifier-themed attraction, the eight songs will now leave the Universal backlot for the first time through a digital release on Fearless Records.
Frontman Spencer Charnas described the record as an early holiday gift and said the assignment to soundtrack Art’s Terror Tram takeover immediately made sense for the band. He also teased some of the altered lyrics, replacing familiar seasonal phrases with jokes about hearses, death and dismemberment.
The project continues Ice Nine Kills’ relationship with Terrifier creator Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone. That collaboration previously produced “A Work Of Art,” their official Terrifier 3 song, which the band says has approached 60 million streams. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and remained there for 18 weeks.
