The Pretty Reckless

THE PRETTY RECKLESS return with “Dear God”,

The Pretty Reckless released “Dear God,” a new single exploring desperation, faith and emotional survival through one of Taylor Momsen’s most vulnerable performances yet.

The Pretty Reckless have officially entered a new era with the release of “Dear God,” a dark, emotionally overwhelming and deeply personal new single marking the beginning of the band’s next creative chapter.

Rather than aiming for a massive arena-rock comeback anthem, the band chose something much more intimate and emotionally destructive. The song explores the physical and emotional exhaustion left behind by life’s most brutal experiences, reaching the point where human answers no longer seem enough and the only thing left is looking toward something greater for meaning, relief or salvation.

Taylor Momsen described the song as “desperation turned into music,” and that feeling completely defines the track. Musically, “Dear God” moves through heavy atmospheres, slow-burning tension and vulnerable moments while Momsen’s performance constantly shifts between exhaustion, rage and emotional fragility.

Over the last decade, Taylor Momsen has evolved into one of the most important voices in modern rock. Since the release of Light Me Up, the band has built a unique identity blending hard rock, grunge, alternative metal and emotional vulnerability.

The Pretty Reckless also made history as the first female-fronted band to achieve eight number one singles on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart.
