EINHERJER released “Dei Så Ser”, the second single from “Lifeblood”, an emotional Viking metal ballad about heritage, death and Nordic cultural memory.

Norwegian metal veterans EINHERJER have officially released 'Dei Så Ser', the second single from their upcoming tenth studio album, "Lifeblood", scheduled for release on June 19th.

Unlike the more aggressive compositions that have historically characterized the band, ‘Dei Så Ser’ is presented as an intense and atmospheric ballad performed entirely in Norwegian. The song explores the idea that life and death are part of the same continuous cycle, where the past never truly disappears, but remains alive in the land, the sea, and collective memory.

EINHERJER founder and principal songwriter Frode Glesnes explained that the song revolves around the connection between the living and those who came before, using ancient burial mounds and the Norwegian seascape as symbols of transition between worlds. “The song is about the connection between the living and those who came before us, and how that connection is carried by the land itself. The burial mounds are not just remnants of the past, but watchful presences,” the musician explained.

EINHERJER's next album, titled “Lifeblood”, will mark the group's tenth studio work and will function as a reflection on belonging, roots and cultural legacy, from both a personal and artistic perspective.

Formed in 1993 in the coastal city of Haugesund, in western Norway, EINHERJER is considered one of the fundamental names in the consolidation of the sound that would later be known worldwide as Viking metal.

During the explosion of Norwegian extreme metal in the nineties, the band helped to build a distinct identity within the scene, moving away from superficial folk imitations and developing a proposal based on Scandinavian history, landscape and cultural tradition.
