Canadian duo Angine de Poitrine have transitioned from a local Quebec phenomenon to a rapidly growing global act, driven by viral exposure and sustained streaming growth.
Following their KEXP performance, which has surpassed 10 million views, the project —formed by Khn de Poitrine and Klek de Poitrine— has experienced a significant surge in visibility. Their latest album Vol. II debuted at No. 11 on the Canadian Hot 100 dated April 18, marking their first entry on the chart.
Streaming data reflects this expansion. Angine de Poitrine have increased their monthly listeners by nearly 300%, reaching approximately 2.3 million. At the same time, global streams have risen by more than 340% over the past month.
Key tracks from the album, including “Fabienk” and “Mata Zyklek,” have seen streaming increases exceeding 350%, while the single “Sarniezz” has climbed by 130% in just over a week, becoming one of the duo’s most consumed songs.
While initial growth remains strongest in Canada —with Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec leading consumption— international traction is expanding rapidly. Markets such as Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Chile are now contributing significantly, with cities like London, New York, Los Angeles and São Paulo driving engagement.
The momentum has also translated into live demand. Shows are selling out within minutes, with resale prices exceeding $500 in some cases. Their schedule includes an opening slot for Jack White at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, alongside multiple sold-out club performances.
Beyond music, the duo’s presence has extended into digital culture, with interactive visual elements appearing in Google search tied to their aesthetic identity.
Despite the rapid growth, the band’s team has indicated a cautious approach moving forward, focusing on long-term development rather than immediate replication of viral success.
