American band Slayer have confirmed two special U.S. performances to mark the 40th anniversary of their album Reign in Blood, originally released in 1986 and widely recognized within the thrash metal genre.
The first show will take place on September 4 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater, just outside Minneapolis. The band will then return to Los Angeles on November 13 for a performance at Kia Forum, marking their first appearance in the city in seven years.
According to the official announcement, both shows will feature a full live performance of Reign In Blood, an album known for its concise structure, speed, and aggressive approach, elements that helped define the thrash metal sound.
The Minneapolis date will include support from Down, Suicidal Tendencies and Hatebreed, while the Los Angeles show will feature Cannibal Corpse, Cavalera and Crowbar.
These performances are part of a limited live schedule that also includes appearances at Rocklahoma Festival and Sick New World Texas, reflecting a focused but strategic touring presence.
Artist pre-sale begins April 22 at 10 a.m. PT using code RIB2026, with general on-sale opening April 24 at 10 a.m. local time.
