German medieval rock / Neue Deutsche Härte band Tanzwut have released their new single “Herz aus Stein” and confirmed that their upcoming album of the same name will arrive on September 4, 2026 via NoCut / SPV.
The title track draws from “Das kalte Herz” by Wilhelm Hauff, reimagining its narrative in a present-day setting shaped by social pressure, constant optimization, and emotional detachment. The reinterpretation preserves the story’s dark tone while adapting it to a modern perspective.
Musically, the album is shaping up to be one of Tanzwut’s most varied efforts in recent years. Tracks like “Rosenkrieg” and “Keine Band für eine Nacht” lean toward a heavier, more direct sound, while songs such as “No Future” explore a more punk-driven energy. In contrast, pieces like “Ewig wie das Eis” introduce a more restrained and atmospheric approach.
Frontman Teufel described the intention behind the record: “We wanted to make an album that feels like a night of dancing in an old tavern: wild, loud, and damn alive.”
Beyond the CD digipak, the album will be available in multiple vinyl editions — including grey-black, red marbled, and liquid vinyl — alongside a fan box limited to 666 copies. The box includes the digipak, a signed card, a heart pendant, coasters, a cosmetic bag, and patchouli-scented soap, emphasizing the collectible and conceptual nature of the release.
