Rammstein’s long-rumored concert film recorded in Mexico finally seems to be becoming reality.
This Wednesday, official information surfaced through Germany’s FSK classification system — the organization responsible for rating audiovisual releases — showing a project under the tentative title “Rammstein Live in Mexico City.” According to the listing, the release runs 142 minutes and 37 seconds in 25 fps, alongside a second 148-minute and 34-second version in 24 fps. Both versions received a 12+ age rating.
The listing also identifies Vertigo/Capitol, a division of Universal Music Germany, as distributor, while the production year appears as 2025, with Germany, Mexico and the United Kingdom credited as participating countries.
The film is reportedly directed by Paul Dugdale, one of the most respected names in concert filmmaking today. Dugdale previously worked with artists such as Adele, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, The Prodigy and Die Toten Hosen, building a reputation for large-scale cinematic live productions.
The footage was filmed during Rammstein’s October 2022 performances in Mexico City at the former Foro Sol — now known as Estadio GNP Seguros — during the band’s gigantic Stadium Tour.
Mexico has also become one of Rammstein’s strongest territories outside Europe over the years, with crowds so intense that members of the band themselves have repeatedly acknowledged them in interviews.
For now, there is still no official release date, no confirmation regarding physical formats or streaming platforms, and no information about bonus material. It also remains unclear whether the final project will include backstage footage, interviews or expanded documentary content connected to the entire tour.
