British band Muse have released “Cryogen”, a new single taken from their upcoming tenth studio album The Wow! Signal, set for release on June 26. The track follows previous releases “Unravelling” and “Be With You”, continuing the rollout of the record.
“Cryogen” is built around prominent riff-driven structures and an immediate-impact arrangement, maintaining the blend of electronic elements and rock that has defined the band’s recent output. The song was written and produced in collaboration with Dan Lancaster, with additional production by Aleks von Korff.
Lyrically, Matt Bellamy constructs a narrative using cosmic imagery to represent a relationship defined by dependency and loss of control. The concept places the protagonist in a state of isolation, reinforcing the track’s introspective tone.
