Marilyn Manson has officially announced the release of One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, the follow-up to his 2024 album and the next chapter in the creative period that has defined his recording comeback over the last several years.
The new record will arrive on August 14 via Nuclear Blast Records and was once again co-written and co-produced alongside Tyler Bates, Manson's longtime collaborator and a key figure behind his most recent releases.
To accompany the announcement, Manson unveiled the album's first single, “Exit Wound,” available now across all streaming platforms.
Described as a dark, cinematic, and intensely visceral composition, the song continues the sonic evolution introduced on One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1, pushing deeper into unsettling atmospheres, crushing industrial textures, and constant melodic tension. The track serves as the first preview of an album that will further expand both the conceptual world and sonic identity established by its predecessor.
The release of One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 will take place just days before the start of the late-summer co-headlining tour featuring Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie.
While additional details regarding the full content of the album have not yet been revealed, the announcement officially confirms the arrival of the next installment in a chapter-based work that began with the release of One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1.
Over the last two years, Manson has maintained an extensive touring schedule in support of that material. Released in November 2024 through Nuclear Blast Records, the album featured singles including “Sacrilegious”, “Raise The Red Flag”, and “As Sick As The Secrets Within”, tracks that marked the artist's return to recording activity.
Manson's current touring lineup includes guitarist Nick Annis, known for his work with Dorothy and Kesha; bassist Tim Skold, who was a member of the band between 2002 and 2008; and Piggy D., who transitioned from bass duties to sharing lead guitar responsibilities alongside Annis.
