The run begins at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on January 22, 2027, followed by Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on January 27 and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on February 1. The final announced show takes place at Wellington’s Sky Stadium, currently presented under its commercial name HNRY Stadium, on February 7.
Faith No More confirmed the news with a short message published through the band’s official platforms:
It’s been a minute. Let’s do this Australia and NZ. Joining our friends System Of A Down as we take over stadiums Jan/Feb 2027.
The announcement provides concrete confirmation of a comeback that began to emerge in June. Bassist Bill Gould had already revealed that Faith No More intended to perform again in 2027, mentioning potential appearances in Europe, South America, Australia and the United States. For now, only the four Australian and New Zealand concerts have been formally announced.
The distinction matters: these dates confirm Faith No More’s return as a live band, but the group has not announced a new album, single or studio project. Its most recent record remains Sol Invictus, released in 2015 as its first full-length album since 1997’s Album of the Year.
The comeback carries additional weight because of the band’s prolonged inactivity and the conflicting statements made by its members in recent years. Faith No More played two special concerts with former vocalist Chuck Mosley in August 2016 to celebrate the reissue of We Care a Lot. Those performances remained the last shows played under the Faith No More name.
The band’s most recent period with Mike Patton ended in 2015 following the Sol Invictus touring cycle. Faith No More intended to resume activity in 2020, but the pandemic forced the group to postpone its schedule. The rescheduled 2021 concerts were subsequently cancelled when Patton disclosed that he was dealing with mental health issues intensified during lockdown.
At the time, the other members publicly supported the singer and stated that moving forward with the tour would have had destructive consequences for his wellbeing. Patton later explained that he had been diagnosed with agoraphobia and had experienced a period of problematic alcohol consumption.
Although the vocalist gradually returned to the stage with projects including Mr. Bungle, Faith No More’s future remained unresolved. Keyboardist Roddy Bottum described the group’s status as a “semi-permanent hiatus,” while Patton spoke in February 2026 about the sense of closure surrounding its previous tour.
The artist presale for registered members of the bands’ official mailing lists begins on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Separate PayPal and TEG Live presales will follow on July 29 and 30 before the general sale opens on Friday, July 31.
