Falling In Reverse returned on September 14 with “Joseph,” their first new song in more than a year and a particularly significant collaboration: the single features Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian, marking the first time the two vocalists have appeared together on the same song. The release is accompanied by a video directed by Jensen Noen, with both Taylor and Tankian appearing onscreen.
The title also carries a personal connection to Radke: Joseph is his middle name. Lyrically, the song moves through images of war, violence, fanaticism, death and destructive cycles, expanding Falling In Reverse’s familiar confrontational approach onto a broader canvas. The production continually shifts in intensity, reflecting the band’s recent tendency to move between metal, electronic music, hip-hop and openly melodic structures.
The track continues a period increasingly defined by high-profile collaborations. Following the release of Popular Monster in August 2024, Falling In Reverse issued “God Is A Weapon” with Marilyn Manson in May 2025 and later followed it with “All My Women” featuring HARDY. “Joseph” is therefore the third post-Popular Monster release and the first since “All My Women” arrived more than a year ago.
The most significant precedent remains “All My Life,” the Jelly Roll collaboration included on Popular Monster. The song spent five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and also led Hot Hard Rock Songs for multiple weeks, becoming one of Falling In Reverse’s largest commercial successes.
Popular Monster was released on August 16, 2024 through Epitaph Records, seven years after Falling In Reverse’s previous studio album. The record brought together singles released across several years — including “Popular Monster,” “ZOMBIFIED,” “Voices In My Head,” “Watch The World Burn” and “Ronald” — and formalized an era in which Radke has increasingly made collaborations with artists from different corners of heavy music a recurring part of the band’s identity. Alongside Jelly Roll, the album featured Tech N9ne, Alex Terrible and Saraya.
