BRING ME THE HORIZON Releases “Dehumanized,” the Final Chapter of Count Your Blessings | Repented

The British band unveils “Dehumanized,” a new track written two decades after Count Your Blessings to complete the rerecorded album.

BRING ME THE HORIZON has officially released “Dehumanized,” the only brand-new song included on Count Your Blessings | Repented, the rerecorded version of the band's 2006 debut album.

Unlike the rest of the release, which consists of newly recorded versions of the original Count Your Blessings material, “Dehumanized” was written twenty years later to serve as the definitive closing track and to connect the band's early sound with its present-day identity.

The song was produced by vocalist Oli Sykes and guitarist Lee Malia, who approached the track as a bridge between two different eras of BRING ME THE HORIZON while ensuring it fit naturally alongside the rerecorded material.

Discussing the rerecording process, Oli Sykes explained that the goal was never to modernize the record according to current production trends.

“We can't have this record sounding like what bands sound like today. It needs to be the best version of what it sounded like in 2006.”

Originally released in 2006, Count Your Blessings became BRING ME THE HORIZON's first full-length album and one of the records associated with the international rise of deathcore during that period. Although the band would later evolve toward alternative metal, experimental rock and electronic influences, the album remains an important part of its history.

The release of Count Your Blessings | Repented will also be accompanied by two special live performances. On July 10 and 11, BRING ME THE HORIZON will perform the album in its entirety at B.E.C. Arena in Manchester, England, marking the first time the band has ever played the complete record live.
