Lovebites continue pushing their sound into heavier territory with the release of “Reaper’s Lullaby,” a new single taken from their latest album Outstanding Power.
The Japanese metal outfit delivers one of the fastest and most aggressive tracks of their career, stepping away from some of the brighter melodic elements traditionally associated with power metal in favor of a colder and thrash-influenced approach.
Built around tremolo-picked riffs, relentless 240 BPM speed and a chilling atmosphere, “Reaper’s Lullaby” highlights one of the harshest and most intense sides of Lovebites to date.
According to the band, while their music remains deeply rooted in power metal, they have always embraced a wide range of influences. They described the new single as a direct representation of the darker and more brutal aspects of their musical identity.
The release of “Reaper’s Lullaby” also arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming European and U.K. tour, which will include a highly anticipated appearance at Wacken Open Air this summer.
