Movements have officially announced their fourth studio album Happier Now through Fearless Records while unveiling two new singles: “Dissolve Me” and “Back In My Ways.”
The album once again reunites the band with GRAMMY-winning producer Will Yip, known for his work with Turnstile, Title Fight and Circa Survive.
With “Dissolve Me,” the California outfit further sharpens the emotionally charged post-hardcore formula that has defined their rise, combining angular riffs, layered melodies and explosive emotional release.
Frontman Patrick Miranda explained that the track was the first song written for the album and ultimately shaped the entire creative direction of the record. Lyrically, the song reflects on social anxiety, emotional paralysis and internalized pressure.
Meanwhile, “Back In My Ways” explores a darker and slower-burning atmosphere before erupting into one of the album’s heaviest emotional peaks. Miranda admitted he initially hesitated about revisiting the band’s sadder sonic territory before eventually embracing the track as one of his personal favorites.
According to the band, Happier Now blends the earliest elements of Movements’ sound with the evolution showcased on 2023’s RUCKUS!, creating a balance between melodic vulnerability and aggressive post-hardcore energy.
The announcement also arrives as Movements prepare to return to Warped Tour this summer, further cementing their place among the leading names in modern post-hardcore.
