TURMION KÄTILÖT will release their twelfth studio album, Resodance, on October 23, 2026, through Nuclear Blast Records. The announcement arrives alongside “Raivotarjonta,” the first single from a record that retains the Finnish band’s industrial pulse while drawing from the cold electronic music of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Produced by Mikko Tegelman and the band, Resodance was designed to capture the physical energy of TURMION KÄTILÖT’s live performances. The album combines compact guitar riffs, electronic rhythms and direct melodies, while its lyrics explore resonance, universal cycles and personal transformation.
“Raivotarjonta” establishes that direction immediately. The song is built around mechanical beats, minimalist harmonies and a constant collision between aggressive vocals and melodic hooks. Its music video extends that tension through a frantic and deliberately uncomfortable performance.
The title can be interpreted as “an offering of rage” or “a supply of anger,” although it has no single exact translation in English. Its lyrics examine verbal violence on social media and the damage words can inflict on a person already approaching their breaking point.
“The idea that words cannot destroy someone is absurd,” Shag-U explained. The vocalist said the story emerged from observing the way people address one another online before developing into the account of someone who collapses under accumulated pain and despair.
"La pena no necesita un rostro; basta con mirarse al espejo”, añadió. El músico también incorporó experiencias personales al texto, mientras que MC Raaka Pee propuso el título definitivo.
According to MC Raaka Pee, the track does not depend on conventional progression but on its internal tension: “‘Raivotarjonta’ does not move forward—it breathes.” Its structure draws from the “cold and uncompromising” electronic music of the late 1990s and early 2000s, where repetition and contrast allow simplicity to become overwhelming.
Formed in Kuopio, Finland, in 2003, TURMION KÄTILÖT have developed their identity through the collision of industrial metal, dance-oriented electronics, dark lyrics and theatrical live performances. Their discography includes albums such as Universal Satan, Global Warning, Omen X and Reset, the latter released in October 2024.
The current lineup features MC Raaka Pee and Shag-U on vocals, Bobby Undertaker on guitar, Master Bates on bass, Run-Q on keyboards and DQ on drums.
Resodance will be available digitally, on CD and in several vinyl editions. “Raivotarjonta” is available now on streaming platforms alongside its official music video.
