Till Lindemann has officially completed the creative cycle surrounding "Es brennt…" with the release of the full EP via Out Of Line Music, a special edition that expands the original single through new interpretations and collaborations exploring different sonic dimensions of the song.
The campaign began in March 2026 with the release of the original "Es brennt…" single, followed weeks later by the aggressive "The Terrible Version", created alongside Alex Terrible, vocalist of Slaughter To Prevail. The final release now gathers five tracks that provide a broader perspective on the project and the creative possibilities contained within the original composition.
One of the most notable moments on the EP is Lindemann's interpretation of "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf Liebe eingestellt", the classic made famous by Marlene Dietrich in 1930 and internationally known as "Falling in Love Again". The inclusion of the song connects Lindemann's work to one of the most iconic figures of twentieth-century German culture, reinforcing the singer's long-standing fascination with cabaret aesthetics, theater and German artistic traditions.
The other major attraction of the release is the "Doomfire Version", created by Greg Mackintosh, guitarist and principal songwriter of Paradise Lost. Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in doom and gothic metal, Mackintosh brings a dark and atmospheric reinterpretation that transforms the song into a piece filled with melancholy, weight and dramatic intensity.
The release also includes the original mix by Stefan Glaumann as a bonus track. Glaumann is known for his work with artists such as Rammstein, Within Temptation and Def Leppard.
The EP will be available in several collector-oriented physical formats, including a limited red smoke 12-inch vinyl edition, a standard black 12-inch vinyl, a limited 7-inch split vinyl, a limited Minimax Picture CD and a regular Maxi CD release.
