Pantera will return to New Orleans for the first time in 30 years to headline The Great NOLA Trendkill, a two-day festival taking over Lakefront Arena on November 20 and 21, 2026.
The bill brings together Down, Black Label Society, Power Trip, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar, Eyehategod, Pig Destroyer, Rāde and Herakleion. Individual day lineups have not yet been revealed.
The festival’s title is a direct nod to the 30th anniversary of Pantera’s 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill. No full-album performance has been announced, however; the official announcement only describes the weekend as commemorating the record’s anniversary.
The weekend will carry another major release milestone. Down will perform the official record-release show for Volume V, their first full-length album in 19 years. The record arrives through Nuclear Blast Records on November 20, the opening day of the festival.
The Great NOLA Trendkill will also mark the return of Housecore Horror Festival, Philip H. Anselmo’s collision of extreme music and horror culture. Screenings, special guests, vendors and additional activities are planned across New Orleans, though those events are not included with the Lakefront Arena concert ticket. “To be back in New Orleans with such a package of bands and events is a dream come true,” Anselmo said of the weekend, pointing to its mix of New Orleans artists, national bands and Housecore-related events.
The artist presale began September 8 with code NOLA. General sales begin Friday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. CT. Ticketmaster currently lists a two-day ticket with no single-day tickets available. Travel VIP options featuring hotel accommodations, exclusive merchandise and shuttle transportation will also be offered.
