Three years after the release of Six, Swedish rock outfit Graveyard have officially announced Fever, their seventh studio album, scheduled for release on October 9, 2026. Widely regarded as one of the most important bands in the modern revival of classic hard rock and blues rock, the group returns with a record that aims to combine the intensity of its early years with the experience gained throughout its career.
Since the release of albums such as Hisingen Blues, Lights Out, and Innocence & Decadence, Graveyard have established themselves as one of the defining names in contemporary retro rock. With Fever, the band says it chose a more direct approach, removing outside influences and focusing entirely on its own creative instincts.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, the band explained the mindset behind the new album.
“Alright folks. Here it is, album number 7. Fever. Haven't we all had it? The itch, the burn, the restlessness. The urge to move forward through the haze. Even with the teeth of hopelessness at our heels and all the smoke screens of our time telling us there's no future. Bring it on. Let's go! This time we decided not to waste any time. No outside producers. No detours. Just GRAVEYARD getting straight to the point and doing what we do best. This might be our best album yet! We hope you'll like it too.”
The album artwork was created by acclaimed Dutch artist Maarten Donders, whose distinctive visual style has become closely associated with the renowned Roadburn Festival. Over the years, Donders has produced artwork for more than fifty artists, ranging from Acid King to Frank Zappa.
Mixing duties were handled by Pelle Gunnerfeldt, known for his work with The Hives, Refused, and more recently Viagra Boys. His involvement adds further anticipation to a record designed to balance raw energy with sonic depth.
Alongside the album announcement, Graveyard also confirmed the first leg of their 2026-2027 touring cycle with fellow Swedish rockers Blues Pills. The pairing brings together two of the most respected names in modern blues-based rock and is expected to be one of the most notable tours within the genre over the coming year.
Additional European dates are expected to be announced in the near future. The tour will serve as the official launch platform for Fever and mark the band's return to the stage with new material after several years.
