Austin Carlile Of Mice And Men

El ex-cantante de Of Mice & Men, Austin Carlile es acusado de violar a más de 15 mujeres

Austin Carlile, known for his time as a singer for the metalcore band Of Mice & Men He has entered the eye of the hurricane, after being accused of rape and sexual abuse of more than 15 underage women during his time with the band, taking advantage of his position on the scene.

A girl by name Caitlyn Stiffler published a letter to the magazine Alternative Press, which he directly accuses of hiding the story despite having various statements from victims and people close to Carlile.

Dear Alternative Press,

Remember when more than 15 girls shared their stories with you about this serial rapist? Because I did it. I was one of them. Now you pretend that besides sharing their nonsense, you want to put their name next to that of Jesus? No, just not. That's fine.

The alternative community has followed you for years. I followed your posts very closely throughout high school and saw my artist friends appear in your magazine. I was contacted by you to share my story, hoping that it would not happen to other girls and it felt like a dream. Finally, I had something I could do, considering that the police told me that there was nothing else I could do without physical evidence. I never thought someone would believe me or take it seriously, but then I had you wanting me to share my story.

Not only did he rape multiple girls - probably more than we know - but he was a predator who was looking for underage girls by using his position in the music industry to do so. He threatened you with a lawsuit and you backed out. I get it, who would want to get into that problem when you can just ignore it? That was your choice, but we had none. We cannot just let it go and forget it. For my part, I hoped you would at least stop putting it out in your posts. I guess I was wrong.

You need a ban. We need to remove him from the reach of all those girls who think he is a good person and deserves recognition. ”

For her part, Caitlyn's husband also raised his voice: "A few years ago, realizing the magnitude of the damage caused -by Carlile-, I organized a group of women (many women) who had been raped or sexually assaulted by Austin Carlile over the years to be interviewed by Alternative Press . I met him personally, worked on the scene, and married one of his victims.

These women sat down and told Alternative Press every gruesome detail of the rape they suffered. There are so many victims. I was in several of those interviews and that's why I know what those women let them know about what they had suffered. Multiple girls. I still have the messages we send each other in the group.

After months of interviewing the victims and putting the whole story together, Alternative Press simply deleted it just before it was published because they were threatened with a lawsuit by Austin and his lawyers. That was devastating. Many told the worst story of their life, not at all?

Today, I saw the article - from Austin - on the Alternative Press. I don't even have words to describe how I feel. I am surprised and disgusted that they gave that opportunity to a man they know to be a serial rapist. The fact that they removed the story was bad enough, but letting him defend his "faith" on his platform was appalling.

So Alternative Press owes us answers. Hell, they owe that group of women the answers to why they did that. Why was that person given the opportunity to advertise their "faith" within their platform, even knowing what it is? Me sick."

For its part, the band has already reacted to the accusations against its ex-singer, distancing himself from him and removing the article against him, making it clear that they are against any abuse. “It is the first time we have heard of that article and none of us had anything to do with the fact that it was not published. We condemn any type of sexual harassment or violence in any way. ”
