Cult of Luna have officially announced In The Shadow Of Your Shadow, their tenth studio album, set for release on November 6 through Red Crk, the band’s own label. Pre-orders for the album will open on June 24 through the label’s official website.
The announcement arrives alongside the release of “In The Shadow Of Your Shadow”, the album’s title track and first preview of the new material. Although the band had already performed the song during recent live appearances, they confirmed its formal release as a single this week.
The new record follows The Long Road North, released in 2022 and the band’s most recent full-length album to date. With this new chapter, Cult of Luna continue expanding a discography defined by long-form compositions, slow-building structures, atmospheric tension, and a sound that has been central to the development of European post-metal.
At this time, the band have not revealed further details regarding the full track listing, physical formats, or possible collaborations. The confirmed information currently includes the album title, release date, label, pre-order date, and the release of the title track.
In addition to the album announcement, Cult of Luna have several confirmed dates in Europe and the U.K. over the coming months, including appearances at Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, Hellfest in France, and ArcTanGent Festival in the U.K.
