All Shall Perish are officially making new music again. The Northern California band have released “Be As Kings, Be As Gods,” their first new song since 2011, while launching a crowdfunding campaign to complete their long-awaited next studio album.
The comeback single was produced by longtime collaborator Zack Ohren, whose credits also include Machine Head and Fallujah, and arrives through Arson Theory, the new music company co-founded by vocalist Hernan “Eddie” Hermida.
The upcoming record will be All Shall Perish’s first full-length since This Is Where It Ends in 2011. This time the band intends to work independently, without a record label or manager, and is seeking $75,000 through Kickstarter to finish recording, mastering, videos and promotion. A second new song will be released if the campaign reaches its funding goal.
The new material arrives as All Shall Perish celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Price of Existence on tour. The run began September 4 in Fresno and is scheduled to end October 3 in San Jose.
The current touring lineup features Hermida, guitarists Chris Storey and Ben Orum, bassist Adrian Oropeza and drummer Andrew Baird.
