Evanescence have officially released the music video for “Who Will You Follow”, one of the newest singles taken from their upcoming studio album Sanctuary, scheduled for release on June 5, 2026 through Sony Music and Columbia Records.
The song previously made its live debut during the latest edition of Sick New World and quickly became one of the most discussed moments of the band’s performance. Now, the track receives a visually symbolic and darkly atmospheric video that further expands the conceptual identity of the upcoming record.
Musically, “Who Will You Follow” blends melancholic piano sections and atmospheric passages with bursts of heavy riffs inspired by nu metal and contemporary alternative rock. Amy Lee’s vocal performance moves between tense whispers and dramatic climactic moments, maintaining the cinematic approach that has defined much of Evanescence’s sonic identity in recent years.
The video features the band performing in chaotic urban settings while multiple characters remain absorbed by their phones. The visual narrative gradually shifts into darker and more surreal imagery, including a sequence where Amy Lee descends through a seemingly uncontrollable elevator while an entire city begins to collapse around her.
The new single also functions as a conceptual continuation of “Afterlife,” a track previously released in 2025 and likewise included on Sanctuary. The album will mark the band’s first full-length release since The Bitter Truth in 2021 and will feature twelve tracks in total.
Currently, Evanescence are preparing to launch a massive world tour beginning this summer with a North American leg featuring Spiritbox and Nova Twins as special guests. Later in the year, the band will continue through Europe alongside Poppy.
