Carnifex unveil “Roses & Rotting Corpses” and sign with Sumerian Records

Carnifex released “Roses & Rotting Corpses”, their first official single after signing with Sumerian Records.

Carnifex have officially entered a new era by announcing their signing with Sumerian Records alongside the release of their crushing new single “Roses & Rotting Corpses.”

The track arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Midvessel, continuing the band’s signature blend of dark imagery, crushing heaviness and deathcore aggression.

The move closes out more than a decade-long relationship between Carnifex and Nuclear Blast, a period that helped establish the band as one of modern deathcore’s most enduring names.

Musically, “Roses & Rotting Corpses” delivers the dense atmosphere, relentless breakdowns and vicious vocal intensity fans have come to expect from the California outfit.

The announcement also comes as the band continue their run on the ongoing Chaos & Carnage Tour 2026, which recently underwent lineup changes after Thy Art Is Murder were forced to withdraw due to a medical emergency. As a result, Carnifex and Bodysnatcher were elevated to co-headliner status, joined by 200 Stab Wounds, Ingested, Gates To Hell and Bodybox.
