Faroese artist Eivør has released “Healer”, her first new material since ENN (2024), signaling the beginning of a new phase in her artistic evolution.
The track is built around a dark and atmospheric soundscape, blending distorted piano lines, cinematic string arrangements and ambient textures. Its steady pulse supports a vocal performance that moves between vulnerability and emotional intensity.
Conceptually, “Healer” explores resilience and personal reconstruction. Eivør described the song as a conversation with her younger self: “‘Healer’ is a conversation with my younger self, the one who doubted everything and didn’t feel enough. It lives in the space of falling and catching your breath again. The song holds the idea that even in those moments, something stronger is being built in silence”.
The accompanying video, directed by Katrin Joensen-Næs, expands this narrative through a black-and-white visual language that explores identity and transformation via mirrored figures. The minimalist and symbolic approach reinforces the track’s introspective tone.
With over a decade-long career and eleven studio albums, Eivør has developed a sound that bridges Nordic tradition, cinematic composition and modern production. Her work earned her the Nordic Council Music Prize in 2021 and international recognition through projects such as The Last Kingdom and God of War.
“Healer” arrives following extensive international touring across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Looking ahead, the artist has confirmed new North American dates for October and November 2026, along with European and UK shows in spring 2027.
