Hinds," with a comment as brief as it is powerful: "I won't miss being in a shitty band with horrible humans."
The message appeared on a Mastodon post celebrating the anniversary of the album Once More ’Round the Sun. Although Hinds’ comment had a spelling error (“I want miss” instead of “I won’t miss”), the message was clear and direct, sparking a wave of reactions among fans, media outlets, and musicians close to the scene.
These words contrast with the tone the band adopted when they announced their departure in March.
