Five Finger Death Punch is one of the biggest bands today and they know it well. “Bands like ours are necessary for metal. If not, who would bring people to the genre?”guitarist Zoltan Bathory told us in an exclusive talk.
Throughout almost two decades of existence, Five Finger Death Punch has managed to grow like foam, grabbing the highest places at rock festivals and occupying the first places in the tops of popularity, which they also reigned in a couple of years ago with the release of their most recent studio album, 'Afterlife'.
Despite its great success, 'Afterlife' was an incomplete work. During its production, the star collaborator of the album, the legendary rapper DMX died, so the song that would be included in 'This is the Way' was left out due to paperwork problems; However, this has now changed with the launch of the special edition of 'Afterlife' which, in addition to the aforementioned song, includes some live extras.
“We had to talk to every producer and publisher that was involved to get it done,” Bathory said, “but in the end when we had the song, it was great to get approval from everyone who was close or knew DMX well.”
