Disney+ has unveiled OASIS: DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER, a new Hulu Original documentary chronicling the long-awaited reunion of Oasis and the band's historic Oasis Live '25 world tour. The film will make its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival before arriving in Latin American theaters and IMAX screens on September 10.
Produced by Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, the documentary was created by acclaimed writer and producer Steven Knight, the BAFTA and Academy Award nominee behind Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows. Direction comes from Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose previous work includes the acclaimed music documentaries Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.
The film follows the reunion of brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher during Oasis Live '25, widely regarded as one of the biggest musical events of 2025. Beyond documenting the band's sold-out world tour, the documentary explores the emotional journey of both the musicians and the millions of fans who witnessed Oasis' return.
One of the documentary's biggest attractions is its unprecedented level of access. OASIS: DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER features never-before-seen rehearsal footage, backstage moments, and live performances, as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam Gallagher in more than 25 years, offering an intimate portrait of one of rock's most unexpected reconciliations.
Rather than focusing solely on the concerts, the documentary also examines the enduring cultural and emotional impact of Oasis, exploring how songs such as "Wonderwall," "Live Forever," "Champagne Supernova," and "Don't Look Back in Anger" continue to resonate with multiple generations around the world.
The production brings together an acclaimed creative team. Producers include Sam Bridger, known for Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now, and Guy Heeley, producer of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Executive producers are Kate Shepherd, Marisa Clifford, Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener, Thomas Benski, Isabel Davis, and Tim O'Shea.
The technical crew also features Academy Award-winning re-recording mixers James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick, Belfast) and Tarn Willers (The Zone of Interest), while cinematography is handled by Haris Zambarloukos, whose credits include Belfast and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
With unprecedented access, exclusive archival material, and the first conversations between Liam and Noel Gallagher in more than two decades, OASIS: DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER aims to become the definitive document of one of the most celebrated reunions in modern rock history.
