Judas Priest releases single, 'The Serpent and the King'

Today, Judas Priest has released 'The Serpent and the King', the fourth single from their new studio album, 'Invincible Shield' which will be released on March 8 via Epic Records. You can listen to the song below.

A little less than a month after the release of their nineteenth studio album, 'Invincible Shield', we had the opportunity to talk again with guitarist Richie Faulkner who told us about the production process of this new material, the great experience that the Californian Power Trip festival meant and how long - according to him - the band will be with us.

“I always knew that Judas Priest had a huge effect on music and the way heavy metal sounds now. That sound is thanks to the enormous work that Priest and other bands did for decades. Power Trip was a great celebration of that. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Tool… they are all bands that have shaped metal as it is today, so it was great to have that experience,” he says.

Over the past 50 years, Judas Priest has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and headlined the world's biggest stages. With their evolving music and live performances, they also gained a powerful unique identity, a look that defined the group and influenced future generations of metal bands around the world. Every year the legend ofJudas Priestcontinues to grow; In 2022, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and completed a rescheduled, sold-out world tour in support of their 50th anniversary. Now in 2024, Judas Priest continues to retain its crown as one of the biggest and best British bands in the world.
