Dutch band Epica have announced the first official concert of their 25th anniversary celebrations, scheduled for January 29, 2027 at the historic Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam.
The choice of venue plays a central role in the concept. Opened in 1887, the Royal Theater Carré is one of Amsterdam’s most iconic venues, known for its historic architecture and intimate setting. According to the band, the concert will bring together past, present and future in a format that differs from their traditional live shows, offering a more immersive and close-range experience.
This event will serve as the starting point for a broader series of anniversary shows planned throughout 2027. While full tour details have yet to be revealed, the band is expected to present unique formats and curated setlists tailored to the occasion.
Tickets for the Amsterdam performance will go on sale this Wednesday at 10:00 CEST, with estimated prices ranging between €60 and €80 depending on seating.
Since forming in 2002, Epica have established themselves as one of the leading acts in modern symphonic metal, known for blending orchestral elements, operatic vocals and metal structures. Their catalog reflects a balance between technical composition and global appeal.
