DragonForce announce Alissa White-Gluz as the band’s new official vocalist

DragonForce begin a new era with Alissa White-Gluz as their first official frontwoman ahead of the Inhuman Rampage anniversary celebrations.

DragonForce have officially announced Alissa White-Gluz as the band’s newest member and first official frontwoman, marking the beginning of a major new chapter for one of modern power metal’s most recognizable acts.

The lineup will make its live debut this month at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, performances that will also launch the twentieth anniversary celebrations for Inhuman Rampage, the 2006 album that introduced “Through The Fire And Flames” to a global audience.

Guitarist and co-founder Herman Li described Alissa’s arrival as a natural evolution for the band: “Alissa expanded everything we do. She doesn’t just sing — she improves every aspect of our music”.

Alongside the new lineup, DragonForce are currently working on their tenth studio album while preparing extensive touring plans expected to be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Alissa White-Gluz stated that the collaboration allows her to explore different vocal approaches within the band’s signature technical and high-speed sound: “It feels amazing to showcase every color of my voice in technically challenging and deeply energizing songs”.

Known for her work with Arch Enemy, The Agonist and numerous collaborations across the metal world, Alissa has established herself as one of extreme metal’s most recognizable modern voices.
