Japanese band D'espairsRay have officially announced their first-ever tour across Latin America, marking a significant milestone for visual kei and J-rock fans in the region. The visit is set for February 2027, with two confirmed performances: February 4 in Santiago, Chile, and February 7 in Mexico City.
The announcement was made in collaboration with promoter Ninshi Entertainment, who will be responsible for bringing the band to Latin American audiences. This tour represents the band’s official debut in the region, following years of anticipation from fans outside Japan.
Formed in the late 1990s, D'espairsRay established themselves as one of the most recognizable acts within the visual kei movement, blending a dark aesthetic with a musical approach that incorporates alternative metal, industrial, and gothic rock elements. Their discography includes key releases that helped expand their international reach, particularly during the 2000s.
Throughout their career, the band developed a distinctive live identity, marked by intense performances and a strong visual connection with audiences. This approach led them to international tours and festival appearances, building a solid fanbase beyond Japan.
The announced dates include two notable venues: Teatro Coliseo in Santiago and Foro La Maraka in Mexico City, both recognized for hosting international acts within the alternative and rock circuits.
While ticket sale details have not yet been disclosed, organizers have stated that further information will be released soon through official channels. High demand is expected given the historic nature of these shows.
