Legendary UK punk band Cock Sparrer have officially cancelled their scheduled appearance at Rockout Fest in Mexico, citing unmet contractual and production requirements by the event organizers.
In a statement, the band explained that despite confirming their participation and already booking flights, several agreed-upon conditions were not fulfilled within the established deadlines. They noted that extensions were granted to allow additional time, but the necessary requirements were still not met.
Cock Sparrer stated that the decision ultimately came down to a lack of confidence that the outstanding issues would be resolved in time, particularly with the event approaching quickly. Under these circumstances, proceeding with the performance was deemed too great a risk.
The band also expressed disappointment at not being able to perform for their Mexican audience, emphasizing that they were genuinely looking forward to the show. They acknowledged the support from fans and thanked those who attempted to help make the performance happen.
Despite the cancellation, the Rockout Fest lineup remains strong, featuring acts such as Bad Religion, Save Ferris and Voodoo Glow Skulls, among others.
