The Actions have released “Container,” the first preview of the album the Bristol duo are preparing for spring 2027 through Barcelona independent label No Where Records. The song follows “Take More,” released earlier this year, and presents a more abrasive version of the electronic, guitar-driven sound Marta Argenio and Maurizio Stellato have been developing over the past several years.
Available from September 25, “Container” is built around dense low end, modular synthesizers and down-tuned guitars, while the vocal performance spends much of the track close to spoken word before opening into far more violent choruses. The band describe the upcoming record as deliberately challenging, written from the confusion and pressure of the present rather than designed to offer its listeners comfort.
The lyrics focus on the amount of information people absorb every day and the way that constant flow can feed anxiety, stress and confrontation. The Actions, however, do not approach the subject solely from a position of helplessness. The other central idea is the possibility of stopping, stepping away and deciding how to respond to all that noise.

The Actions currently consist of Marta Argenio on vocals, bass and synths and Maurizio Stellato on guitar and electronics. Their career has moved between alternative rock and experimental electronics, with previous support slots for Garbage and The Distillers and radio backing from figures including Tom Robinson, Gary Crowley and John Kennedy. Their official profile also lists past appearances with R.E.M. and Green Day.
