Avatar will return to Latin America in January 2027 for an extensive headline tour spanning Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico. The itinerary features 12 concerts, including five dates across Mexico, as the Swedish band continues the global Don’t Go in the Forest campaign.
The tour begins in São Paulo on January 10 and concludes in Puebla on January 27. Between those shows, Avatar will visit Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Quito, Bogotá, San José, Guadalajara, Monterrey, San Luis Potosí and Querétaro.
Venues, ticket prices and on-sale information have not yet been announced. Avatar also has not revealed whether any supporting acts will join the Latin American run.

The tour takes its name from Don’t Go in the Forest, Avatar’s tenth studio album, released on October 31, 2025. The record introduced another chapter in a world where music, costumes, characters and stage design are treated as parts of the same work.
Avatar have never approached live performance as a straightforward presentation of songs. Each tour extends the identity of its corresponding album, turning heavy metal into a collision of warped circus theater, dark ceremony and controlled chaos led by Johannes Eckerström.
The forbidden forest concept fits naturally within that approach. Onstage, the band transforms it into a production driven by tension, black humor and a form of theatricality that can move from grotesque to strangely solemn without sacrificing impact.
Eckerström is joined by guitarists Jonas Jarlsby and Tim Öhrström, bassist Henrik Sandelin and drummer John Alfredsson. The lineup’s stability has allowed Avatar’s production to grow without letting its visual identity swallow the music beneath it.
Behind the makeup and scenery remains a band capable of shifting between melodic death metal, groove, traditional heavy metal and deliberately eccentric detours. That tension between musicianship and spectacle has made Avatar one of the most immediately recognizable live acts in modern metal.
