SELF DECEPTION continue building anticipation for their upcoming studio album One Of Us with the release of “BREAK!”, a new single showcasing the Swedish band’s explosive mix of modern metal, melodic rock and electronic-driven intensity.
The track arrives just days before the official release of One Of Us, scheduled for May 15, 2026 through Napalm Records.
“BREAK!” blends heavy riffs, pounding drums and electronic textures with a massive sing-along chorus built for live performances. The song follows the path established by previous breakout tracks like “Fight Fire With Gasoline,” which helped expand the band’s international reach with millions of streams worldwide.
Vocalist Andreas Clark described the song as an exploration of emotionally destructive personalities caught between passion, chaos and self-sabotage, reflecting relationships driven by conflict and instability.
According to the band, One Of Us was largely written during the most intense touring period of their career so far, shaping both the album’s sonic direction and emotional themes. The record focuses heavily on isolation, belonging and the connection formed between bands and audiences inside live venues.
Since forming in 2009, SELF DECEPTION have shared stages with artists such as Electric Callboy, Danko Jones and Adept while steadily building a reputation across the modern rock and metal scene.
