Legendary British heavy metal band Iron Maiden have been forced to reschedule their sold-out Los Angeles show due to restrictions on simultaneous events at the Exposition Park.
The performance originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the BMO Stadium has now been moved to Sunday, September 27.
The change is due to the USC Trojans vs Oregon Ducks matchup taking place the same day at the nearby Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which holds over 100,000 spectators. City regulations prevent two large-scale events from occurring simultaneously within the Exposition Park complex.
Concert promoter Live Nation explained the situation in a statement:
“This is an unprecedented circumstance and is unfortunately entirely outside of either our or the band's control. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we comply with venue and city regulations.”
Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood added:
“We were completely shocked when we were told about this unique situation affecting our sold-out L.A. show on the Saturday night. We have worked with the team at Live Nation, and rather than cancelling this second show, we were thankfully able to move the show to the following night, Sunday, September 27.”
The Friday, September 25 show at BMO Stadium remains unchanged, and all tickets purchased for September 26 will automatically be honored for the new date on September 27.
These shows are part of the North American leg of the “Run For Your Lives World Tour”, celebrating Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary. The tour features a brand-new production and a once-in-a-lifetime setlist focusing on songs from the band’s first nine studio albums.
The tour will also mark 45 years since Iron Maiden first toured the United States and Canada in 1981 during the “Killer” world tour, and includes some of the biggest shows the band has ever performed in North America.
Support on most dates will come from Megadeth, with fellow Anthrax opening select shows.
