Wage War announce It Calls Me By Name EP and unleash “Song Of The Swamp”

Wage War release “Song Of The Swamp” and announce their new EP It Calls Me By Name, out April 17 via Fearless Records, promising their heaviest material yet.

Like a blood-thirsty gator ready to snap, Wage War have returned with new music, unleashing their latest single “Song Of The Swamp.” The track marks the band’s first new material since their STIGMA cycle in 2024.

The song serves as the lead offering from their upcoming EP, It Calls Me By Name, set for release on April 17 via Fearless Records.

That aggression is evident in the track’s spine-compressing rhythms, jagged guitar menace and feral vocal delivery. The breakdowns land with crushing precision, while the production maintains a constant undercurrent of tension.

The accompanying music video situates the band in a swamp environment. At times they perform atop a floating dock, while vocalist Briton Bond delivers his lines amid thick, soggy Florida foliage.

The release reportedly blends hooks with heightened heaviness, presenting Wage War’s “signature sound amplified and pushed further into metal than [they’ve] ever taken it.”

It Calls Me By Name arrives April 17 via Fearless Records.
