Musician, poet, and activist Serj Tankian has released the official video for “I’m Counting On You,” a track from his upcoming album Covers, Collaborations & Collages, due out on October 24, 2025. This reinterpretation, marked by Tankian’s emotional intensity, highlights his ability to reimagine classic material through his unmistakable style.
The album promises to be an eclectic and deeply personal body of work, blending covers of timeless songs, collaborations with cutting-edge artists, and original compositions. “I’m Counting On You,” originally by Chris de Burgh, has been transformed into a haunting and moving piece that reflects Tankian’s gift for storytelling through music.
This release also emphasizes the broader vision behind the project, which will include collaborations with Deadmau5, Bic Runga, and composer Lucas Vidal, as well as reinterpretations of Armenian traditional songs.
