“This is the original Fleetwood Mac, founded by Peter Green, one of the best singer-songwriters and guitarists, less known to the public, but very well known among us, the British blues guitarists of the 60s, and it is at the level of Eric Clapton , Jeff Beck and Nick Taylor. He had a bit of a misadventure with drugs and disappeared early in his career, but he had some great songs and 'Oh Well' is one of my favorites. I remember hearing the song on the radio when I was probably 13, they used to play a lot of both the old Fleetwood Mac version and the new version of the band with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. I always loved this song and it has a great guitar riff. I played it with Blues Ball back in the '90s and I've played it live here and there. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do the song on this album. It was also one of the songs where I was trying to figure out who would be the right vocalist for it, and one of the ideas I had was Chris Stapleton, one of the most brilliant singer-songwriters working today. He also has such a brave and distinctive voice, so I called him and he did an amazing job, his voice is great.”
