Listen to ‘Violent Nature’, the new song by Bleed From Within

After 20 years, Bleed From Within has reached its zenith. The Glasgow band is one of the hardest-working in metal, playing worldwide with giants like Megadeth and Slipknot, while continuing to write and regularly release monstrous, inspiring songs. Their rise culminates in new heights with their seventh album, Zenith, which contains the heaviest, most captivating, and daring songs the band has created to date.

“We called the album Zenith because if someone or a band is described as being at their ‘zenith,’ it means they’re at their highest point yet,” Ali explains. “We’re acknowledging everything we’ve done to get here, but we’re also acknowledging the space above us and how far we still have to go. There’s been a lot of growth, but there’s still so much more for us to experience.”

Across its 11 tracks, “Zenith” explores the parameters of what thrilling metal can achieve. “Violent Nature” is the most captivating opener BLEED has ever written, accelerating from a distorted intro into an onslaught of pounding drums, devastating riffs, and layers upon layers of growls. “In Place of Your Halo” offers a heavier counterpoint: its towering groove leads into a striking bagpipe section, keeping the band in touch with their homeland while asserting themselves on the global scene. From the bold string sections throughout the album to the final track “Edge of Infinity,” which begins with acoustic guitars and smooth vocals and culminates in a powerful crescendo, BLEED FROM WITHIN’s horizons have never been wider. Yet their music has never sounded so refreshing in every way.

“Courage comes with experience gained over the years,” says Ali. “There were things we wanted to do in the past, but we were worried about how they would be interpreted. Now we’ve laid it all out on the table. That’s what I think a lot of people will notice on the album.”
