AC/DC will not perform at MetLife Stadium tonight, September 25, after public safety authorities determined that the expected weather conditions across the New York and New Jersey area pose a safety risk to fans, staff and everyone involved with the production.
The decision was made by Public Safety authorities in consultation with weather experts as severe wind warnings affect the region. The band confirmed that the scheduled show in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will not take place tonight and said additional information will follow. At this stage, no new date has been announced and no ticket or refund instructions have been issued.
The National Weather Service forecast north winds of 14 to 16 mph in East Rutherford on Friday, with gusts reaching 34 mph and potentially climbing to around 39 mph Friday night. Forecasts for other parts of the metropolitan and coastal region call for even stronger gusts as the weather system develops.
The concert was part of the North American leg of the Power Up Tour 2026. MetLife Stadium had scheduled doors for 5:30 p.m., with the show set to begin at 7:00 p.m. The Pretty Reckless were also listed on the bill with AC/DC.
The New Jersey date was among the final announced shows on this stretch of the tour. AC/DC’s official schedule currently still lists September 29 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as the band’s next performance, with no changes announced for that date.
Ticket holders for MetLife Stadium will need to wait for further instructions regarding the final status of the show. AC/DC has said only that additional information will be released shortly, so any potential rescheduling remains unconfirmed.
