The French shoegaze Alcest announced the release of their seventh studio album, Les Chants De L'Aurore, which will be released on June 21 via Nuclear Blast Records. The first single, ‘L’Envol’ is out now and you can check it out below.
“‘L’Envol’ is a musical return to the atmosphere of Alcest's first albums. I wrote this song after an inspiring trip to Corsica, where I met wonderful people surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. This theme is about escaping mundane reality to join a flock of mythological birds across the known horizons of our planet. The song is accompanied by a music video created by talented French artist Yoann Losssel, who also designed the album cover. For this first single release, we wanted the music, lyrics and visuals to be as cohesive and immersive as possible. All the tracks on Les Chants de l'Aurore are very different from each other, but we think that this track will serve very well as an introduction to the atmosphere that brings together the entire concept of the album," says Neige >.
