THE RASMUS headline Atlas Festival in Ukraine, raising over 3.5 million hryvnias for children’s hospital

THE RASMUS raised over 3.5 million hryvnias in Ukraine to donate surgical instruments to Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital and released their short film The Rasmus in Ukraine.

Finnish rock band THE RASMUS became the only foreign act to headline the Atlas Festival in Kyiv, held amid ongoing war. The event welcomed over 110,000 attendees and was organized with strict safety measures, ensuring quick evacuation if needed.

Together with the festival and Blockbuster Mall, the group helped raise over 3.5 million hryvnias ($84,000), which was used to purchase modern surgical kits from Germany for the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital. The official handover took place on September 25, with the band joining online to personally thank the medical staff.

Frontman Lauri Ylönen praised the doctors’ resilience: “They provide assistance even during rocket attacks and air raid sirens. It’s essential they have equipment that matches their level, because they can achieve even more with the right tools.”

Beyond their concert, THE RASMUS took part in autograph sessions, raffles of unique merchandise bundles, and visited the hospital. On September 26, the band released the short documentary The Rasmus in Ukraine on YouTube, with all proceeds going to the Good Donations Foundation.

Meanwhile, THE RASMUS are promoting their 11th studio album, WEIRDO, released September 12 via Better Noise Music and Playground Music. With the Weirdo Tour spanning through 2025 and into 2026, the band continues to merge music, solidarity, and human connection, leaving a lasting impact on fans worldwide.
