Without a doubt the visit of Vision Divine It was a delight for lovers of the genre not only for the great quality and power that the band has in each of their songs, but for the plus of enjoying the presence of Mike Terrana On the drums, by the way, it is a separate show.
The appointment would take place in the forum Indie rocks, where prior to the show there was an autograph signing for every fan who had bought their ticket for the show, all coming out with signed items and group souvenir photos with the band. At the time of the show, the warming up of the engines would be the responsibility of the bands Uruz and Mighty Thor. However, the latter had serious problems before her presentation, delaying her set time, so she could barely play three songs and with a deafening volume that did not help her. Even so, the Mexicans did not shrink and with Thor's hammer -literal- raised they did their act.
Everything was ready for the stellar act and when the lights go down, the powerful start with "The 26th Machine" shows why Vision Divine is a bandota: his power metal it has POWER, as much as this seems a pleonasm; and it is demonstrated when we are propelled into outer space with "3 Man Walk On The Moon", and then continue with the rhythm that almost verges on the extreme metal of "Secret Of Life ”, theme where the singer Ivan Giannini He thanks everyone for such a warm welcome, being the singer's first time in Mexico. The night continues with "Now That All the Heroes Are Dead" and then, pointing to the blanket that guards the stage with the imposing figure of a divine and threatening being, Vision Divine send us with the Angel of Revenge
Violet Loneliness and its tints of sound Gothenburg they put all the people to move their arms from one side to the other accompanying the melody, and then comes a brutal contrast with "The 25th Hour”And the drumming of the imposing battery Mike Terrana that makes this song seem more like a song punk with symphony, that a theme of power metal. And again the contrast turns 180 degrees with the melodic Message to Home in which most people record the intimate moment with the cell phone, and the night continues with themes like "300". It is in this part of the show that the band complains and asks to lower the volume of the audio and fix the monitors because they do not listen to each other. It must be said: the audio was too loud during practically the entire presentation, which did not allow one hundred percent appreciation of the virtuosity of Vision Divine.
In the title of this review we emphasized the plus that gave the show Mike Terrana, and it is something that is worth mentioning in a special section: the native of Buffalo with his image more ad hoc to a drummer from punk or hardcore He is a real beast: the whole show steals attention with his technique and strength by pounding on the drums and he even has the luxury of hitting the drums with his bare hands or doing pirouettes with the drumsticks in a single that steals the applause of the people Simply a percussion animal! Vision Divine continue the show with "The Perfect Machine", one of the consensual themes of the fans; to then give us the live debut of "Were I God", And close the first part of their presentation with a trip to one of the band's first hits: "The Miracle".
Vision Divine he quickly returns to the stage and the word is now taken by the guitarist Olaf Thorsen, who in a quite understandable Spanish introduces all the members of the band and even (we don't know if in jest or with some hidden meaning) remembers Fabio Lione (former vocalist of the group, famous for being the singer of bands like Rhapsody On Fire and actually Angra) with the adjective of "Fagot". The band returns to the musical with "Send Me And Angel”Asking people to jump to the rhythm of this theme, which the attendees abide without thinking. Vision Divine he is about to retire and he does it from the hand of "La Vita Fugge", The only song on the set in the band's native language, and that culminates a night of power metal unforgettable.
