The German band Samurai Pizza Cats has officially released its second album Press Start on March 27, marking a new chapter in its evolution within modern metalcore. The record arrives via Century Media Records and features 12 tracks blending heaviness, humor, and strong pop culture influences.
As part of the release, the band dropped the video for “Ramen-Man”, filmed in Tokyo and featuring the Japanese trio BABYBEARD. The track captures the essence of the album, combining heavy riffs with a playful aesthetic inspired by anime culture.
The release coincides with key live activities. The band will celebrate with the Samurai Pizza Fest on March 28 in Cologne, Germany, while continuing their European tour alongside From Fall To Spring through April.
Later this year, Samurai Pizza Cats will embark on their “Press Start European Tour 26” in October, covering cities across Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria.
The album is available in multiple formats, including special vinyl editions, CDs, and a limited deluxe box set.
