Revocation announces new studio album, 'New Gods, New Masters'

Revocation has confirmed the release of their upcoming album, New Gods, New Masters, scheduled for September 26, 2025 via Metal Blade Records.

Following the success of their previous album, Netherheaven (2022), Revocation strengthens their sound with an even tighter and more powerful approach, both musically and lyrically. Davidson highlights the renewed energy brought by the newest members: Harry Lannon on rhythm guitar (since 2023) and Alex Weber on bass.

The first single, "Cronenberged," is available now and can be streamed below. The track features vocals from Jonny Davy (Job for a Cowboy).

The title, New Gods, New Masters, addresses the human need to worship new deities, in a context where old beliefs are being replaced by a reverence for technology. Davidson explores the implications of artificial intelligence on the album and raises questions about the potential emergence of a technological dystopia or even the possible destruction of humanity.

The album was produced by Davidson himself, while Jens Bogren (The Haunted, Spiritbox) handled the mixing and mastering. The artwork was created by Paolo Girardi. The album will also feature prominent guest appearances on several tracks: Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Luc Lemay (Gorguts), and jazz guitarist Gilad Hekselman.

The album will be released in both physical (CD and vinyl) and digital formats. Shortly after its release, Revocation will embark on a headlining tour across North America, beginning on October 16 in Leesburg, Virginia and concluding on November 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina, with selected acts Judiciary, Inferi, and Vomit Forth.
