After the recent show by Till Lindemann in San Luis Potosí, apparently the state government fell in love with rock and that is why Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona gave to know that he is looking for other artists in this genre, including Metallica themselves to perform at the Feria Nacional Potosina FENAPO which will take place in the month of August 2024.
Of course, this is far from being confirmed and more so under the premise that Metallica already has confirmed dates in the country during the month of September as part of their '72 Seasons' tour at Foro Sol, for which, although feasible, is difficult to achieve.
The Potosina National Fair is an annual event that receives artists of international stature, although it is not common for rock acts to perform, as it is more focused on other genres and has seen bands such as Los Tigres del Norte or Los Fabulosos Cadillac parade on its stages, which managed to attract 200 thousand people last year. Of course, all festival events are free.
Metallicaannounces plans to press the band's first five studio albums on special limited edition colored vinyl, available outside of North America.
Early last year, the band scored a number one album in the UK with their latest studio album 72 Seasons, dominating the charts globally by racking up an impressive 19 number 1s around the world.
Metallica's M72 world tour returns to Europe in May and Mexico at the end of 2024.
