On the night of January 31, we finally got to see Less Than Jake in Guadalajara, one of the most iconic bands on the Ska-Punk scene in the United States, originating from Gainesville, Florida and formed since 1992 by Chris DeMakes.
The event started at 9 PM on the C3 Stage, the bands in charge of opening were NO NEIM and Rikita Banana, a band originally from Merida, Yucatan with songs like "I begged you", "Maybe tomorrow" and "The beach", kicked off an epic night for him ska-punk in Guadalajara.
Those were moments of anxiety as the Less Than Jake team was setting the stage so they could listen to the Ska-Punk from Florida! Moments later, Roger Lima and Chris DeMakes came out. In those moments people explode!
The set started with "Gainesville Rock City ”, song from his fourth album "Borders & Boundaries" (2000), followed by “Johnny Quest Thinks We’re Sellouts”, from his album Losing Streaks (1996).

The chemistry between Roger Lima and Chris DeMakes He was sublime with his audience, as you could see the excitement of playing in Aztec lands, when jokes were thrown during the show, and comments on how grateful they were to perform in Guadalajara.
The night continued with its classics and hits like "Magnetic North", with a screaming audience chanting each of the songs they played, the party of Ska-punk in Guadalajara he continued with "Dopeman", "Plastic cup Politics" and "History of a Boring Town", among other successes of the night, with a total dedication from their fans who were present in a venue almost to its maximum capacity.
Without a doubt, it was one of the best nights I have personally had, this band has marked a time in the history of the genre, its energetic lyrics and its excellent vibe makes Less Than Jake, without hesitation, Be one of the best bands in the punk scene today, and hopefully they will continue to give us this unique sound that the band has, and remember Punk is not dead!
